World Environment Day: Walk in with the CNR at Monte Cimone (...)
June 5th is a day to be devoted to knowledge and reflection. But even for a breather. And in this context that the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate (ISAC) of CNR on the slopes of Monte Cimone, where stands the station 'Ottavio Vittori' for the monitoring of pollution and climate change, proposed "The Path of 'Atmosphere': a walk teaching, aimed at students to be followed by the screening of a cartoon on the protection of the stratospheric ozone layer, produced by UNEP and voiced by Luca Carboni and Tita Ruggeri.
We read in the press release:
"The environment belongs to everyone," says Franco Prodi, CNR-ISAC director, "and it is up to all efforts to respect and preserve it. The decrease in availability of drinking water, increased frequency of extreme events such as typhoons, floods, landslides, heat waves, desertification, deforestation and the increase in polluted areas are now the major environmental disasters that cause damage to ecosystems and hazard human health. "
the scientific station of Monte Cimone, we measure the particulate air pollution, climate alternating gas, solar radiation, radioactivity and environmental bioaerosol.
